Are you nurturing your child’s talents, or are you holding them back by irrationally panicking over their shortcomings? Are you raising your child to be an independent thinker or one to follow the crowd? Do you encourage an entrepreneurial spirit in your child or an employee mindset? Are you medicating your child for what has been dubbed the CEO disease? Thank God the parents of Ted Turner and Steve Jobs did not. What would our world look like if they had? Are you raising your child to perpetually “do over” in life? You tell me, you know your situation better than I do. If you are uncertain as to the answer of any one of these questions, perhaps this short speech by Cameron Herold (entrepreneur and MIT Lecturer) will bring some clarity to the matter and identify whether or not your child will lead our country through its “do over.”
