The ultimate book in personal development was completed around two thousand years ago. It is the source document for all of the self-help greats. If you are in a position to begin a new life, consider going to the source for your personal development. It is the Bible that contains the ABC’s of success described here:

A – Assume Responsibility. In Galatians 6:4-5 it is written, “Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.” Nobody is going to create success for you. As you begin a new life, please know time restrictions will still get in the way, as will money problems and misfortune. Still, you must let go of the excuses, stop blaming other people and your circumstances. Take responsibility for your experiences and results.

B – Believe that You Can Change. In Philippians 4:13 we read, Christ gives me the strength to face anything. Wherever your faith is, just know that you are equipped to handle whatever is dealt. There’s nothing out there that you can’t accomplish. But you have to have the belief. Begin a new life moving mountains, belief is your most powerful resource.

C – Clarify What You Really Want. You have to know what you want and you have to begin with the end in mind. Job 34:3-4 “For the ear tests words as the tongue tastes food. Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good.” Don’t begin a new life without having a clear understanding of what you really want. If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.

Assume responsibility for your life, nobody is going to do it for you. Believe the worst has passed and the best is yet to come. Clarify what it is that you want and where you want to go. Once you’ve implemented the ABC’s of success, don’t wait to begin a new life because… if you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll never get anything done. -Ecclesiastes 11:4-10
